How to Promote Your EBook

With the extremely popular Amazon Kindle in high demand and growing in popularity, the creation and sale of eBooks is gaining momentum like never before. For Internet marketers, publishing and selling eBooks on the Amazon Kindle is a fantastic opportunity for additional revenue.

But oftentimes, promoting your eBook can seem a daunting and intimidating task. Where do I promote my eBook? How do I promote my eBook? Will this take away from my established business? How will my current customers feel about this new venture?

These concerns, among others, are understandable but not necessary. In fact, publishing an eBook for the Amazon Kindle can and will be extremely lucrative for your online business if you promote it properly and understand the power of this additional revenue stream.

The first and most important considerations should be that all content is both original and valuable. But if you are already an established Internet marketer, this is a given.

Secondly, consider the fact that there is no overhead to produce an eBook, no publisher to reconcile with, and the best part about Amazon is that they allow you to set your own price. (However, be aware that you will only be entitled to 35% of your suggested retail price on the sale of each eBook.)

Finally, you will have to apply tried and true online marketing techniques to the promotion of your eBook in order to ensure its success. While Amazon will publish your eBook and make it available to download for customers, it will not promote it.
You will have to:

* Utilize keywords and effective SEO methods to let others know about and find your eBook.

* Create and distribute press releases announcing the availability of your eBook on Amazon Kindle.

* Submit keyword driven articles to industry directories, ezines and other online communities where you can reach your target market.

* Blog about your eBook, the process of writing it, and the excitement of being published.

Remember, you know your business, your industry and your target market better than anyone else. Focus on your audience and think about how and where they might find your eBook, why they should buy it and how to keep them coming back for more.

At the end of the day, promoting your eBook is just like promoting your online business. It's just another way to extend your reach as a reputable, reliable Internet marketer who is taking advantage of every outlet available to you. But the wild card in this particular scenario is this: the Amazon Kindle is currently the most in-demand eBook reading device available on the market today. This is an extremely unique, yet fleeting, opportunity to take advantage of a captive audience. Be the first in your niche to sell your eBooks for the Amazon Kindle and you just may set yourself up to have an advantage as more and more competitors take part in this trend. It's up to you to make sure you don't miss your mark.

Repurpose Your Content to Sell on Amazon Kindle

Just because you don't have a new eBook to sell on the Amazon Kindle doesn't mean that you can't take advantage of its rapidly growing popularity.

Whether you have an archive of old eBooks to choose from, or articles and reports to pull together, you can simply repurpose your old content and create a new eBook to sell on the Amazon Kindle.

Don't be discouraged by the daunting task of having to write an entirely new eBook. Just because you know your previously created eBooks are a couple of years old, doesn't mean that they are not still valuable for others. When repurposing old eBooks to sell today, just make sure of the following:

• All content is still accurate and applicable.
• Your work is as crisp and grammatically correct as possible.
• You know that there is still an audience for what you have to say.

All you have to do to repurpose this content is to simply format the eBook to the Kindle format using Amazon's propriety software, and publish your work to the Kindle community. Be aware that while you set the price, you will only receive 35% of the suggested retail price of each book that is sold.

Now, if you don't have previously written eBooks that you can repurpose to sell on the Amazon Kindle, do not fear. You can also repurpose articles, reports or other content of similar nature by forming it into an eBook format and thus creating an entirely new piece of work. The idea here is to save you from reinventing the wheel.

There is no need to redo all of your research and spend additional time as a wordsmith when you already have valuable resources to pull from. Simply gather previously written works and group them together into topic areas and create your new eBooks from there! When repurposing old content to create an eBook to be sold on the Amazon Kindle, be sure that:

• All content is accurate, applicable and cohesive.
• Your work is as crisp and grammatically correct as possible.
• You know that there is still an audience for what you have to say.

You should also be sure to advertise and market all of your old and new eBooks just as you would any of your other work. While the Amazon Kindle store is a great place to find a new and captive audience for your eBooks, you will still have to remain dedicated and focused to reaching your target market. That is why it is critical to view the Amazon Kindle eBook opportunity as an additional revenue stream, not a supplement to your online business.

If you find success as an eBook author with the Amazon Kindle, keep up the momentum! But don't forget where you came from. Be sure to maintain your commitment to the customers you have so cherished through your traditional business as well, and cross-reference them to your work as you continue to create and develop new material.

Good luck!

Internet Sales Lead Generation - Using Ebooks to Create Massive and Passive Prospect Flow in 6 Steps

By Gogo Erekosima Platinum Quality Author

Internet sales lead generation for your business can easily be accomplished whether you have a content marketing website or not. Although a website gives you a more robust presence online, you can combine your ebook lead generation with either an effective email marketing campaign or a robust social media presence to connect with prospects and customers, and to increase your sales.

There are literally hundreds of tactics and methods for generating leads through the activity of the search engines, however the methods I share below are simple ways for spreading your marketing message through ebooks that are found by the search engines.

Just a few years ago, PDF documents were part of the Invisible web and their contents were not readable by the search engine programs. Thankfully, that is a thing of the past and most, if not all search engines today can read and index PDF content. Here are some of my best ideas for getting your ebooks to do your search engine lead generation for you.

1. Make Sure Your PDF Ebooks are Search Engine Optimized

This simple tip can help you generate many times more leads and clients from every single ebook. Start by making sure that the "file name" of your PDF or other ebook document includes valuable keywords and keyword phrases. You can then optimize your PDF for SEO by populating the PDF document properties sections with your information and other valuable keywords.

2. Make Aggressive Use of Content Sharing Sites

The best content sharing sites have fairly high page rank and have their content easily indexed and ranked highly by the search engines. Some content sharing sites also have mechanisms for suggesting your ebooks to people reading related content, or having users vote up your content and increase its traffic and its search engine popularity. This means that you can get direct traffic from the search engines and from the content sharing site.

Some popular content sites include DocShare.com, SlideShare.net, Scribd.com, DocStoc.com, and Calameo.com among others.

3. Distribute Your Ebooks Through Online Influencers

Contact selected influencers within your niche and in your social network and offer their subscribers and followers semi-exclusive access to your ebook (or even limited time access). Semi-exclusive access means that you let them know that your clients and subscribers as well as subscribers of a few other influencers will be offered that ebook as well. If you choose "limited time" access, you could tell them to share a link to a content sharing site where you have the document uploaded "for a limited time".

4. Unpackage Content For Article Marketing Directories and Other Sites

Just because your content is in an ebook format doesn't mean it has to stay in that format. You can unpackage your content for distribution on content sharing sites like article marketing directories and social sharing sites. This allows may allow you to leverage other features of the websites in question. Note that some article marketing directories (like EzineArticles.com) will not approve pre-published content - so you might want to go there first and get your content approved there before distributing on other sites like Hubpages.com, Squidoo.com and even Facebook Page Notes.

5. Embed contact information and valuable links within your ebooks

In writing your content, be sure to include ways for the generated leads to connect to your online lead nurturing process. Whether you have a website or not, email marketing is the single best medium for staying in front of your leads. Other methods include RSS syndication (through their feed readers) and through social media engagement and interaction.

Make sure that your ebooks stimulate targeted readers to connect with you through your email capture pages (landing pages) or on social media and other sites. Also make sure that they have a way to reach you should they want to do business with you. Obviously, a robust content marketing business website makes all these things easier.

6. Make a Big Promise With A Guarantee And A Deadline

One of the ways to really stimulate both urgency and action in your readers is to include a section where you make a special offer that is difficult for them to pass up. The combination of a big promise, a guarantee and a deadline is a well-proven direct response marketing strategy that translates just fine to the internet.

Since widely distributed ebooks generally have a long shelf life, you may want to include a deadline as well as links to updated new offers for people who see your ebooks long after you have published them.
